A cover letter is the “front door” to your manuscript. In 2026, where high-impact journal editors<\/a> are bombarded with hundreds of submissions<\/a> daily, they often spend less than 60 seconds reading your cover letter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If that letter is just a generic “Please find my paper attached,”<\/em> you are wasting the only chance you have to speak directly to the Editor-in-Chief. This is not a formality\u2014it is a strategic sales pitch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
